MBT serves a weekly hot meal and take-home food bags to anyone who comes to the Parish Hall on Sundays between 1:30 and 2:30pm.
Staffed by volunteers from Trinity as well as other churches, schools, and organizations, this ministry has been ongoing since 1982.
This afterschool program serves students at the neighboring Pocatello High School. OGP provides healthy snacks, a pool table, a foosball table, and an air hockey table. It also offers a number of programs throughout the school year including dental health checkups and workshops on how to prepare family meals.
Trained volunteers provide Eucharist Services, Bible Study, and spiritual counseling each week at the Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center. Their work at the prison includes Story Link, a reading program in which inmates are recorded reading children’s books out loud. The recordings are then sent to the readers’ children and grandchildren.
Each December, Trinity raises money to donate goats to families in need. In 2021, we raised enough to buy 16 goats through Heifer international. These gifts provide families with access to medicine, school, food and a sustainable livelihood.
A sponsor of Rise Up Pride 2022, Trinity has demonstrated its longstanding commitment to Pocatello’s LGBTQIA+ community through guest speakers as well as video and lecture series.
In 2022, Trinity has been working with other area churches and sponsors to welcome Afghan refugees to Pocatello. Trained and vetted parishioners working directly with new Pocatello families keep the congregation aware of ongoing needs.
